An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Kris Laws got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Philip Bonison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The nice shot from Philip Bonison in the 11thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jonty Delahide had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 13th minute of the match Oracle FC got a corner. Nagambie's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matthias Digiuseppe ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Oracle FC's corner Matthias Digiuseppe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonty Delahide quite easily take care of the ball. If Kris Laws had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oracle FC's Darin Jury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clarke Chant in the 45th minute of play. Clarke Chant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darin Jury having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kris Laws made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Kris Laws left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oracle FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Philip Bonison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jonty Delahide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clarke Chant received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
