Spectators: 7962 (Terracing: 5973, Seating: 1831, VIP seats: 158) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brookes Barugh took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Bindi FC booed when Quandialla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Al Heathwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brookes Barugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Freeman having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, Marcus Brien cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Matthew Mcenally was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Matthew Mcenally came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Quandialla's Bruce Kiel. But to his dismay, Bruce Kiel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Bruce Kiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Mcenally having to interfere. Marcus Brien struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Matthew Mcenally didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quandialla. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Marcus Brien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quandialla's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcus Brien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Mcenally breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Brien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Brookes Barugh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Freeman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Quandialla! In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Bindi FC. Bryanne Unicomb stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jarrett Freeman. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Paco Durbin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bindi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paco Durbin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarrett Freeman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jarrett Freeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brookes Barugh in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Brien made a kick off. Jarrett Freeman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brookes Barugh's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruce Kiel got free with Matthew Mcenally in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 57th minute, Paco Durbin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jarrett Freeman was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A collision led to Bindi FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Brookes Barugh hit a great ball. When Bruce Kiel came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Quandialla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Kiel couldn't finish the play. Bruce Kiel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Mcenally having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quandialla's zone, Brookes Barugh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrett Freeman came out of the goal and Brookes Barugh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Quandialla getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Blade Cameron hit a great ball. Brookes Barugh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Freeman having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Brien in the 86th minute of play forced Bindi FC's goalkeeper Matthew Mcenally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Russ Houldsworth's late challenge caught a Quandialla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Russ Houldsworth helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th minute of the match, Marcus Brien tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matthew Mcenally saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Marcus Brien was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Quandialla players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bindi FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
