Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Brook Markwell made the kick off which started today's match. Jarrett Connolly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rick Gummow in the 3rd minute of play. When Woodcroft United's Brook Markwell in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 13th match minute, NSW Fighters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blade Macinnes to maneuver through the defense. When Brook Markwell in the 15th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Jarrett Connolly kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 17th match minute, Woodcroft United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Gummow to maneuver through the defense. Brook Markwell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jarrett Connolly came out and tried to block the shot, but Brook Markwell slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Marco Paull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loud Krause having to interfere. After a rather tough play, NSW Fighters's Blade Macinnes got a free kick in the 28th minute. The audience was convinced that Brook Markwell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jarrett Connolly was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Brook Markwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Connolly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brannan Peplow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jarrett Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brook Markwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brannan Peplow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, NSW Fighters's Bartholemew Cochrane got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Blade Macinnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 61 minutes, Brook Markwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodcroft United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brook Markwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brannan Peplow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Connolly having to interfere. NSW Fighters's Jarrett Connolly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brannan Peplow in the 69th minute of play. Brannan Peplow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humphry Brooks hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Brook Markwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jarrett Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brook Markwell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarrett Connolly having to make a save. After a rather tough play, NSW Fighters's Blade Macinnes got a free kick in the 84th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Marco Paull managed to get in a good position for a shot. NSW Fighters's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Paull was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Loud Krause breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Woodcroft United's Rick Gummow got a free kick in the 90th minute. Woodcroft United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
