Bleyd Lambourne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dugald Fraser made a huge save. Humphrey Rafferty was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Quakers Hill's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 23 minutes into the game, Raymond Parryman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strathmore FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quakers Hill the free kick. The supporters of Quakers Hill booed when Strathmore FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymond Parryman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Archie Wittber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strathmore FC and the Quakers Hill players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Strathmore FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Archie Wittber hit a great ball. Marcus Duggan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuck Ridding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Raymond Parryman came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Strathmore FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raymond Parryman couldn't finish the play. Bleyd Lambourne succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 35th playminute. In the 40th minute Raymond Parryman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Duggan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the game, one of Strathmore FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chuck Ridding struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Marcus Duggan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strathmore FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Humphrey Rafferty made the kick off in the second half. Chuck Ridding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Marcus Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
