Spectators: 6851 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chuck Ridding started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Iggi Mcmahon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute, Chuck Ridding ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mack Schulzte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Bryson Hicks kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Lewis Lord recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Raymond Parryman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mack Schulzte was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Lewis Lord kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dugald Fraser. That made the score 1-1 in the 15 minute of play. Mack Schulzte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuck Ridding, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute of the match Jemmett Haberle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mack Schulzte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Chuck Ridding shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mack Schulzte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Glover got free with Dugald Fraser in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Richard Glover managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fairylands's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Glover was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dugald Fraser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dugald Fraser was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lewis Lord showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 38 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuck Ridding in the 42nd minute of play forced Fairylands's goalkeeper Mack Schulzte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Fairylands's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Parryman came free, but Mack Schulzte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Strathmore FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Lord came free, but Dugald Fraser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lewis Lord made a kick off. Dugald Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lewis Lord, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Lewis Lord had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jemmett Haberle hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Richard Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dugald Fraser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Glover, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dugald Fraser stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Glover's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Richard Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Strathmore FC defense, Lewis Lord kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dugald Fraser. The Strathmore FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dugald Fraser should have stopped the shot. Strathmore FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
