Spectators: 8011 (Terracing: 6010, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aden Lambourne kicked off to start the match. Logan Millar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remington Brooks in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Dwight Smalley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwight Smalley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Millar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aden Lambourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kenneth Plank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Dwight Smalley got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Elite FC booed when North Melbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kale Samuels didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 minutes of play, Elite FC's Remington Brooks made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Logan Millar was left in no man's land by his defense there! North Melbourne's Logan Millar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save North Melbourne from getting a goal against them. Aden Lambourne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Darrell Dowling hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Dwight Smalley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Remington Brooks made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Humphry Couzens made a precise shot to the right of Kenneth Plank. Elite FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Russell Howie kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Elite FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Olin Beverley hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Remington Brooks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remington Brooks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Logan Millar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humphry Couzens struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Kenneth Plank didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Melbourne. In the 85th minute, Remington Brooks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Humphry Couzens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. North Melbourne's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
