After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Dwight Smalley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwight Smalley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carter Glover breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute, Dalwood Biddell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matthews Cubitt succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Elite FC's Kenneth Plank hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! Kenneth Plank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Bowman in the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Russell Howie during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dalwood Biddell charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dalwood Biddell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elite FC's Kenneth Plank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Elite FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ryan Bowman to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Olin Beverley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elite FC and the Kewell players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Dwight Smalley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dwight Smalley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Carter Glover made a huge save. After 59 played minutes Kewell got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Price. Remington Brooks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Carter Glover tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Kewell got a freekick which was hit by Jordon Smoothey. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordon Smoothey during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th minute, Kewell's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remington Brooks fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Elite FC's Neil Kean got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Kewell's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
