Spectators: 7848 (Terracing: 5991, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 20) In the 5th minute Aden Lambourne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clark Goodbun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jayden Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. North Melbourne's Humphry Couzens got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Clark Goodbun made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Humphry Couzens sent off a good shot on target. Jayden Bailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Millar having to interfere. Brombin's Clifford Pound got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Darian Pears hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clifford Pound struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Logan Millar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brombin. In the 35th minute of the match, Humphry Couzens got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clark Goodbun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Damian Markwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Logan Millar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayden Bailey in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd match minute, North Melbourne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darian Pears to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Brombin's Jonty Coote tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aden Lambourne to make the kick off. Clifford Pound received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Logan Millar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to North Melbourne getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. James Ritter hit a great ball. Jonty Coote, 59 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Clifford Pound fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Millar having to interfere. Clark Goodbun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aden Lambourne in the 73rd minute of play. Logan Millar made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Clifford Pound sent off a good shot on target. Clark Goodbun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aden Lambourne, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The North Melbourne support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
