Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corey Leydin in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Day prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Angelo Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Gorham in the 38th minute. When sorbonne united's Brayden Pukallus in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sydney Rockets's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Neil Gorham got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Connor Lawrence recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brayden Pukallus was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Sydney Rockets's goal looked a bit too open when Brayden Pukallus came free, but Arnie Howie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Neil Gorham had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Day. sorbonne united's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Neil Gorham was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The attack was good, but when Corey Leydin in the 95th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the sorbonne united players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sydney Rockets.
