Spectators: 6800 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Randolph Beckwith took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Ike Heathwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earle Shirdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Earle Shirdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Waterland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ike Heathwood in the 5th minute of play forced Toulkerrie's goalkeeper Earle Shirdon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Earle Shirdon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ike Heathwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute Patrick Waterland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earle Shirdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scorpion United FC's Ike Heathwood got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th match minute, Toulkerrie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lowrey Gwin to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Toulkerrie's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Waterland came free, but Earle Shirdon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Ike Heathwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scorpion United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ike Heathwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earle Shirdon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ike Heathwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Toulkerrie's Dani Tresise ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Stanley Maybury. Stanley Maybury yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 36th minute Ike Heathwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earle Shirdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dani Tresise who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Stanley Maybury when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Stanley Maybury made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Randolph Beckwith sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the game, Patrick Waterland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Earle Shirdon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Waterland was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Scorpion United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Randolph Beckwith came free, but Stanley Maybury reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Jeremy Mueller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scorpion United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toulkerrie the free kick. After 56 played minutes Toulkerrie got a freekick which was hit by Dani Tresise. If Randolph Beckwith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randolph Beckwith scored 2-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stanley Maybury, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Long Leydin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, Toulkerrie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burt Maslin to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Scorpion United FC's goalkeeper Stanley Maybury, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Toulkerrie players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
