After a defensive mix-up in Toulkerrie's zone, Dwight Smalley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Earle Shirdon came out of the goal and Dwight Smalley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Russell Howie kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Toulkerrie getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Justin Toomey hit a great ball. Earle Shirdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remington Brooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Toulkerrie's Long Leydin got a free kick in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Randolph Beckwith made the kick off in the second half. Toulkerrie's Randolph Beckwith got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Kenneth Plank successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Elite FC booed when Toulkerrie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Leydin didn't get a good kick on the ball.
