Kewell's Carter Glover played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larkin Kuskop in the 56th minute of play. In the 67th minute Larkin Kuskop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carter Glover saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Gold Coast United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
