Spectators: 8087 (Terracing: 6066, Seating: 1860, VIP seats: 161) An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey Leydin in the 7th minute of play forced Elite FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Plank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dwight Smalley got free with Arnie Howie in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the game, George Maddern was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sydney Rockets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elite FC the free kick. In the 10th match minute, Sydney Rockets was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Maddern to maneuver through the defense. Arnie Howie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Tebby, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Remington Brooks recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnie Howie. Remington Brooks showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 29th minute, Russell Howie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kenneth Plank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Leydin in the 30th minute of the match. Arnie Howie made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Dwight Smalley sent off a good shot on target. Arnie Howie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remington Brooks in the 37th minute of play. If Dwight Smalley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remington Brooks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Murphey Barugh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sydney Rockets's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elite FC the free kick. A collision led to Sydney Rockets getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Murphey Barugh hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Sydney Rockets's Neil Gorham nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kenneth Plank made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Remington Brooks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnie Howie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remington Brooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elite FC's Kenneth Plank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corey Leydin in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Elite FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Russell Howie hit a great ball. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kenneth Plank having to interfere. If Dwight Smalley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Gorham took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kenneth Plank. Kenneth Plank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 71st minute, Remington Brooks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corey Leydin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute of the match Neil Kean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnie Howie skillfully saved the ball. Remington Brooks struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Arnie Howie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Elite FC. Arnie Howie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Smalley in the 90th minute of the match. If Neil Gorham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Elite FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carson Aroege fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Sydney Rockets players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
