But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brad Inwood couldn't finish the play. Bringagee's Brad Inwood got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute Dwight Smalley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Krause saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Remington Brooks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Krause was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brad Inwood in the 24th minute of play forced Elite FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Plank to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Krause showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remington Brooks in the 30th minute of the match. When Remington Brooks came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Elite FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remington Brooks couldn't finish the play. Dwight Smalley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Krause having to interfere. Dwight Smalley scored 1-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Krause, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dwight Smalley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Bringagee got a freekick which was hit by Cain Smee. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brad Inwood was the one to do the kick off. When Barnett Pound fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bringagee's protests and gave Barnett Pound a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bringagee getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Barnett Pound hit a great ball. In the 65th play minute Dwight Smalley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised David Krause. 1-2. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bringagee's goalkeeper David Krause, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Bringagee's David Krause got control of the ball when Dwight Smalley tried to sneak it across the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bringagee fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 80th minute. Penalty! Bringagee:s David Krause showed great skill when he stopped Rolando Tebby:s penalty. 82 minutes into the game, Rolando Tebby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. David Krause was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Remington Brooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Krause was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Dwight Smalley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dwight Smalley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remington Brooks in the 100th minute of play forced Bringagee's goalkeeper David Krause to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elite FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
