Dakota Alves's late challenge caught a Ermington FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Gregg Willis came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ermington FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregg Willis couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, David Odd reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelo Day. The goal made the score 1-0. Angus Mcjunkins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Connor Lawrence in the 20th minute of the match. When Brayden Pukallus fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored sorbonne united's protests and gave Brayden Pukallus a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ermington FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Quincy Mcvicar hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Darryl Brotherton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Brotherton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ermington FC's Darryl Brotherton was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. David Odd took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Day. Angelo Day dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Gregg Willis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermington FC's David Odd was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Angelo Day made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when David Odd sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brayden Pukallus made a kick off. Darryl Brotherton might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Day. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Darryl Brotherton ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th minute, David Odd made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Day. sorbonne united's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When Ermington FC's David Odd in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But to his dismay, David Odd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Jarrett Annis charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarrett Annis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th match minute, sorbonne united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrett Annis to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the sorbonne united defense, David Odd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Day. The sorbonne united fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Day should have stopped the shot. When Darryl Brotherton fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ermington FC's protests and gave Darryl Brotherton a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Ermington FC got a freekick which was hit by Darryl Brotherton. After a rather tough play, sorbonne united's Jarrett Annis got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, David Odd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Day. sorbonne united's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Odd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. David Odd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute Darryl Brotherton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Odd in the 90th minute of play forced sorbonne united's goalkeeper Angelo Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Odd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Angelo Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermington FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Connor Lawrence scored to the left of an out of position Angus Mcjunkins, making the score, 8-1. Ermington FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
