Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David Odd started the match with the kick off. Brombin's Clark Goodbun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corbett Paynter in the 7th minute of play. If Clifford Pound had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregg Willis in the 11th minute of play forced Brombin's goalkeeper Clark Goodbun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Odd in the 15th minute of play forced Brombin's goalkeeper Clark Goodbun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clark Goodbun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Odd, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Damian Markwell charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Markwell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Brombin's Damian Markwell got a free kick in the 20th minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, David Odd put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Clark Goodbun. David Odd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clark Goodbun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Clark Goodbun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Odd, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Clark Goodbun stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Brotherton's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Angus Mcjunkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayden Bailey in the 42nd minute of play. David Odd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Goodbun having to interfere. After having played for 45 minutes, Darryl Brotherton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Brotherton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Ermington FC's Angus Mcjunkins got control of the ball when Clifford Pound tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Ermington FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jayden Bailey to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, David Odd took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Clark Goodbun to make any attempt to save it. 55 minutes into the match, Ermington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jayden Bailey came free, but Angus Mcjunkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angus Mcjunkins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clifford Pound, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Odd's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Clark Goodbun firmly grabbed it by the left post. Clifford Pound fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angus Mcjunkins having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Rex Fallen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregg Willis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Brombin's zone, Darryl Brotherton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clark Goodbun came out of the goal and Darryl Brotherton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cliff Baxter kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Clark Goodbun didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ermington FC's Corbett Paynter shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 85th minute, Ermington FC's Gregg Willis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. In the 90th minute, Corbett Paynter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Odd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Clark Goodbun made a huge save. Darryl Brotherton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Goodbun having to interfere. In the 96th minute Corbett Paynter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clark Goodbun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ermington FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
