The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dakota Alves during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th match minute, sorbonne united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dakota Alves to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute, Jarrett Annis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Odd in the 15th minute of the match. sorbonne united's Angelo Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Odd in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Gregg Willis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Odd in the 26th minute of play forced sorbonne united's goalkeeper Angelo Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, sorbonne united's goal looked a bit too open when David Odd came free, but Angelo Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Angelo Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Odd in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, David Odd left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ermington FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. David Odd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Day having to interfere. Darryl Brotherton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Ermington FC's David Odd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Day made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. After 44 minutes of play, Ermington FC's David Odd made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brayden Pukallus to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, sorbonne united's goalkeeper Angelo Day had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregg Willis. 54 minutes into the game, David Odd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ermington FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave sorbonne united the free kick. David Odd kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Brayden Pukallus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, sorbonne united's goal looked a bit too open when Corbett Paynter came free, but Angelo Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ermington FC's David Odd came free and shot a quick shot against goal 60 minutes in the game, fortunately Angelo Day had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Gregg Willis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Angelo Day tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in sorbonne united's zone, David Odd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Day came out of the goal and David Odd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Gregg Willis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Day. That made the score 0-5 in the 67 minute of play. Gregg Willis was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 77 minutes, Darryl Brotherton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darryl Brotherton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Odd blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Day having to make a save. Gregg Willis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, sorbonne united's Angelo Day got control of the ball when David Odd tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Gregg Willis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darryl Brotherton went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. David Odd who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Angelo Day when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The sorbonne united fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ermington FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
