Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jayden Bailey got the match started through his kick off. After 3 minutes, Jayden Bailey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brombin and the Sydney Rockets players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 5th match minute, Brombin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darrell Askew to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, Sydney Rockets's Corey Leydin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clark Goodbun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute, Jonty Coote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corey Leydin took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clark Goodbun. Clark Goodbun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Clark Goodbun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Gorham, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Gorham in the 24th minute of play forced Brombin's goalkeeper Clark Goodbun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnie Howie made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Damian Markwell sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Sydney Rockets's Arnie Howie got control of the ball when Clifford Pound tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darrell Askew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Arnie Howie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darrell Askew got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Brombin's Darrell Askew got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Corey Leydin made the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Corey Leydin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brombin's Clark Goodbun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Damian Markwell hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Clark Goodbun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Leydin in the 55th minute of the match. Clark Goodbun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Gorham in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Clifford Pound managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brombin's supporters rose to their feet, but Clifford Pound was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnie Howie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Neil Gorham came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Sydney Rockets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Gorham couldn't finish the play. Clark Goodbun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Leydin in the 63rd minute of the match. Cliff Baxter kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Brombin's Clifford Pound got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Corey Leydin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clark Goodbun having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Corey Leydin in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Neil Gorham's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Clark Goodbun skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Corey Leydin took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clark Goodbun. Clark Goodbun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Clark Goodbun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corey Leydin in the 87th minute of the match. In the 93rdth minute of the game Corey Leydin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brombin's Clark Goodbun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Neil Gorham came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Sydney Rockets fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Neil Gorham couldn't finish the play. Corey Leydin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Goodbun having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sydney Rockets walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
