Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Clark Goodbun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randolph Beckwith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Dani Tresise got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8thth minute of the game Randolph Beckwith who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brombin's Clark Goodbun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Brombin's goal looked a bit too open when Randolph Beckwith came free, but Clark Goodbun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Brombin's Ivan Pegler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Earle Shirdon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 25 played minutes Toulkerrie got a freekick which was hit by Dani Tresise. When Long Leydin fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toulkerrie's protests and gave Long Leydin a yellow card for diving instead. Long Leydin hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Ivan Pegler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brombin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Pegler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clark Goodbun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randolph Beckwith in the 33rd minute of play. Justin Toomey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clark Goodbun having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Brombin's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Staggard came free, but Clark Goodbun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Burt Maslin came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Toulkerrie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Burt Maslin couldn't finish the play. Clifford Pound received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Earle Shirdon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clark Goodbun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randolph Beckwith in the 60th minute of the match. After 62 played minutes Toulkerrie got a freekick which was hit by Jordon Kerville. Toulkerrie's Earle Shirdon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Pegler in the 63rd minute of play. In the 70th minute, Dani Tresise made a precise shot to the right of Clark Goodbun. Brombin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clifford Pound in the 74th minute of play forced Toulkerrie's goalkeeper Earle Shirdon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the game, Cliff Baxter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brombin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toulkerrie the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Brombin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Baxter to maneuver through the defense. If Dani Tresise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Brombin's Kirby Cawthorne got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ian Didlick got free with Clark Goodbun in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toulkerrie's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
