If Brad Inwood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Brombin's Jayden Bailey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Krause made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Bringagee's Ellis Benton got a free kick in the 13th minute. Brombin's Jonty Coote couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 13th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bringagee. Barnes Grandison charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Barnes Grandison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Barnes Grandison hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Krause showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jayden Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Brad Inwood might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clark Goodbun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brad Inwood ran back to his position shaking his head. Jayden Bailey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Krause read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Lucas Wang who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Clark Goodbun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Brad Inwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Brombin defense, Brad Inwood kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clark Goodbun. The Brombin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clark Goodbun should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brad Inwood to strike the kick off in the second half. Clifford Pound blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Krause having to make a save. David Krause showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jayden Bailey in the 55th minute of the match. David Krause made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jayden Bailey in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jayden Bailey in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Krause prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clifford Pound got free with David Krause in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bringagee! Jonty Coote shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. David Krause made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Clifford Pound sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Clifford Pound managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brombin's supporters rose to their feet, but Clifford Pound was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Krause breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bringagee's David Krause proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Bringagee from getting a goal against them. Jayden Bailey did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-3 to the left of a surprised David Krause 96 minutes into the match. In the 101st minute, Brad Inwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Brombin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brombin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
