Broula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave True Balance FB the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brannan Block during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Broula! Broula's Carsyn Quelch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Shipman in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to True Balance FB getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jeffers Belford hit a great ball. Martin Shipman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carsyn Quelch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as True Balance FB's Martin Shipman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carsyn Quelch. That made the score 3-0 after 36 minutes of play. Broula's Carsyn Quelch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Shipman in the 40th minute of play. With a little luck, Broula's Carsyn Quelch got control of the ball when Birrell Burmeister tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birrell Burmeister got free with Carsyn Quelch in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Shipman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iggi Ludwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dale Lorenz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birrell Burmeister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carsyn Quelch having to interfere. Birrell Burmeister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Carsyn Quelch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
