Spectators: 7981 (Terracing: 5987, Seating: 1835, VIP seats: 159) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bernie Cridland took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrew Burton in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarvis Spurr saved Warburn F.C from getting behind. 7 minutes into the match, Peter Miels notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Warburn F.C's Jarvis Spurr. Jarvis Spurr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Downing Barry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernie Cridland in the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Peter Miels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MXW UNITED's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Miels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. MXW UNITED's Downing Barry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernie Cridland in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Andrew Burton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jarvis Spurr. The goal made the score 2-0. After 27 played minutes Warburn F.C got a freekick which was hit by Darren Rear. After recieving a nice pass, MXW UNITED's Edmonds Meyers tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, MXW UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Markwell came free, but Downing Barry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kent Markwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. MXW UNITED were furious when Abbott Warren was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in MXW UNITED fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 39th minute. Penalty! Kent Markwell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

MXW UNITED's Downing Barry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save MXW UNITED from getting a goal against them. After 65 played minutes Warburn F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernie Cridland. Bernie Cridland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Downing Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Biddle Barling scored 3-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarvis Spurr, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jarvis Spurr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Miels's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Mitchell Harkness received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Downing Barry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cod Stafford charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cod Stafford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MXW UNITED's Cod Stafford got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernie Cridland in the 91st minute of play forced MXW UNITED's goalkeeper Downing Barry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Miels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warburn F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
