Spectators: 7994 (Terracing: 5997, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 159) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Barry Holdsworth started the match with the kick off. Barry Holdsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Quincy Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barry Holdsworth might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Quincy Price. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barry Holdsworth ran back to his position shaking his head. Barry Holdsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quincy Price having to interfere. Alford Kuskop made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when James Sinden sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 20 minutes, Bartholemew Goodward managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Welford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartholemew Goodward was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benney Lonergan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Quincy Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quincy Price took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Holdsworth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes of play, Joachim Wiking TSS's Benney Lonergan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quincy Price was left in no man's land by his defense there! James Sinden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alford Kuskop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benney Lonergan in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quincy Price saved Welford from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Welford's goal looked a bit too open when Benney Lonergan came free, but Quincy Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quincy Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry Holdsworth, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Barry Holdsworth put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Quincy Price. Dalwood Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alford Kuskop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Joachim Wiking TSS's Alford Kuskop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burtt Mcquinn in the 52nd minute of play. Quincy Price made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Benney Lonergan sent off a good shot on target. Alford Kuskop didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dalwood Wege went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Joachim Wiking TSS booed when Welford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartholemew Goodward didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Welford's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Holdsworth came free, but Quincy Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bartholemew Goodward fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Welford's protests and gave Bartholemew Goodward a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 played minutes Welford got a freekick which was hit by Bartholemew Goodward. In the 66th play minute Benney Lonergan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Quincy Price. 1-3. Dalwood Wege received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alford Kuskop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dalwood Wege in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alford Kuskop prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 79 minutes, Antonio Norman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joachim Wiking TSS and the Welford players grew even worse after the yellow card. Welford's Quincy Price played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Holdsworth in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Welford's zone, Barry Holdsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quincy Price came out of the goal and Barry Holdsworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alford Kuskop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartholemew Goodward in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Joachim Wiking TSS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
