Spectators: 7928 (Terracing: 5991, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Bernie Cridland made the kick off which started today's match. Carsyn Quelch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernie Cridland, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 8th minute of the match Nash Willis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jarvis Spurr skillfully saved the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Kent Markwell notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Broula's Carsyn Quelch. Carsyn Quelch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Broula's zone, Kent Markwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carsyn Quelch came out of the goal and Kent Markwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Braedan Brophy came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Broula fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braedan Brophy couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Broula getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Burtt Schutt hit a great ball. Iggi Ludwick might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarvis Spurr. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iggi Ludwick ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bernie Cridland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Broula's zone, Kent Markwell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carsyn Quelch came out of the goal and Kent Markwell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernie Cridland struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Carsyn Quelch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warburn F.C. In the 48th minute Kent Markwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carsyn Quelch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Iggi Ludwick made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Bernie Cridland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carsyn Quelch. Broula's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernie Cridland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Braedan Brophy scored 1-2 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarvis Spurr, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iggi Ludwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Jarvis Spurr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iggi Ludwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kent Markwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Kent Markwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warburn F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Markwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carsyn Quelch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kent Markwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
