In the 18th minute, Gold Coast City FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kent Markwell fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Brye Cubitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernie Cridland in the 22nd minute of the match. Jarvis Spurr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baxter Mosley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernie Cridland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Brye Cubitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eden Ayrton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jarvis Spurr made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Eden Ayrton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gold Coast City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eden Ayrton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarvis Spurr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee ignored Gold Coast City FC's protests and gave Eliot Russell a yellow card for diving instead. Eliot Russell hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Eden Ayrton in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. James Gorham's late challenge caught a Gold Coast City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gold Coast City FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warburn F.C the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Gold Coast City FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenneth Alcock to maneuver through the defense. Brye Cubitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Cridland in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
