Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Martin Shipman got the match started through his kick off. True Balance FB's Martin Shipman got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 8 in the game by Birrell Burmeister from a close distance when the talented Downing Barry managed to make a qualified save. MXW UNITED's players were relieved. After some careless play in the True Balance FB defense, Andrew Burton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dale Lorenz. The True Balance FB fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dale Lorenz should have stopped the shot. Peter Miels might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dale Lorenz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Miels ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Burton in the 26th minute of play forced True Balance FB's goalkeeper Dale Lorenz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as True Balance FB's Birrell Burmeister slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Downing Barry. That made the score 2-1 after 29 minutes of play. In the 33rd minute of the match, Martin Shipman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Downing Barry saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Birrell Burmeister managed to get in a good position for a shot. True Balance FB's supporters rose to their feet, but Birrell Burmeister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Downing Barry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute of the match True Balance FB got a corner. MXW UNITED's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adolfo Travers ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ivan Aliendi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Martin Shipman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Downing Barry having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MXW UNITED's zone, Martin Shipman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Downing Barry came out of the goal and Martin Shipman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrew Burton to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Andrew Burton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Martin Shipman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, MXW UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Shipman came free, but Downing Barry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, MXW UNITED's Dale Lorenz threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrew Burton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peter Miels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Peter Miels came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the MXW UNITED fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Miels couldn't finish the play. In the 81st match minute, MXW UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abbott Warren to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Nelson Hitchen in the 83rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Downing Barry's left hand side. Birrell Burmeister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Downing Barry having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Andrew Burton managed to get in a good position for a shot. MXW UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrew Burton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Lorenz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the game, Jeffers Belford cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Downing Barry was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. There was no doubt that True Balance FB were the better team. True Balance FB's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
