When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and James Paull made a kick off. Baxter Mosley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Nunn having to interfere. Dante Nunn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eden Ayrton in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gold Coast City FC's goalkeeper Brye Cubitt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Brye Cubitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Paull in the 61st minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Eden Ayrton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Nunn was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. During the 70th minute of the match Darren Mcwilliam completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Darren Mcwilliam a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Chute's Darren Mcwilliam got a free kick in the 70th minute. Baxter Mosley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute.
