Spectators: 8001 (Terracing: 6002, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 159) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Bernie Cridland got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Kent Markwell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warburn F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Kent Markwell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quincy Price breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernie Cridland took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quincy Price. Quincy Price dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Welford's Quincy Price played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Markwell in the 10th minute of play. Kent Markwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Quincy Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarvis Spurr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James Sinden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Quincy Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Markwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute, Welford's James Sinden dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. James Sinden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If James Sinden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Bernie Cridland notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Welford's Quincy Price. Quincy Price was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. James Sinden was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Warburn F.C booed when Welford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartholemew Goodward didn't get a good kick on the ball. Burtt Mcquinn's late challenge caught a Warburn F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Burtt Mcquinn helped the player get up and apologised. Nicholas Digiuseppe was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 74th match minute, Warburn F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Fordham to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th match minute, Welford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Franklin to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Bernie Cridland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dalwood Wege had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Dalwood Wege managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Welford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalwood Wege was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Warburn F.C getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Darren Rear hit a great ball. Welford's Quincy Price played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernie Cridland in the 98th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Warburn F.C eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
