In the 7thth minute of the game Anthony Tupman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. Zvezda's Jonty Freel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Henry Howarth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Edmund Podowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmund Podowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Berne Pinhey in the 12th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Berne Pinhey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. Zvezda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berne Pinhey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rob Oreilly hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Berne Pinhey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berne Pinhey got free with Edmund Podowski in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Peipei United getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Rob Oreilly hit a great ball. Murphy Garing struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jonty Freel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peipei United. Anthony Tupman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonty Freel having to make a save. After having played for 24 minutes, Murphy Garing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peipei United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Murphy Garing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonty Freel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murphy Garing, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Anthony Tupman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonty Freel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peipei United's Rob Oreilly got a free kick in the 29th minute. Anthony Tupman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murphy Garing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonty Freel having to interfere. If Murphy Garing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anthony Tupman in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonty Freel saved C. Zvezda from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Rob Oreilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henry Howarth made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, C. Zvezda's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Anthony Tupman fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 56 minutes into the game, Peipei United's Anthony Tupman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonty Freel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Murphy Garing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peipei United's Edmund Podowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berne Pinhey in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rob Oreilly during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Peipei United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Oreilly to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Podowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henry Howarth's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berne Pinhey in the 71st minute of play forced Peipei United's goalkeeper Edmund Podowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Anthony Tupman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Anthony Tupman took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonty Freel. Jonty Freel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jonty Freel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murphy Garing, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
