But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ed Playford couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the match, HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Navarro Tresise came free, but Jarrett Prior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Prior took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Navarro Tresise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Bowen. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Ed Playford made the kick off in the second half. Navarro Tresise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jarrett Prior tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ed Playford's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Devine was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. With his leg Jarrett Prior managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Old Town FC's Alvin Hodson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
