Spectators: 6844 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lance Goucher kicked off to start the match. Nero Belford kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Henry Howarth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cawdor's Larry Beer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cawdor! The referee gave C. Zvezda a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nelson Burmeister, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cawdor's Larry Beer. 0-1. Lance Goucher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jonty Freel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Berne Pinhey notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cawdor's Larry Beer. Larry Beer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Larry Beer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berne Pinhey in the 21st minute of play. Anthony Kinnaird took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Larry Beer. Cawdor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Paz Awage was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. Zvezda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cawdor the free kick. The supporters of Cawdor booed when C. Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paz Awage didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to C. Zvezda getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lucas Kuskoff hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Keefe Tencer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C. Zvezda's Jonty Freel didn't even have to move. Jonty Freel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Goucher in the 34th minute of play. Larry Beer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Howarth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes C. Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Kuskoff. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Howarth was the one to do the kick off. Jonty Freel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darley Pinhey in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. Zvezda's goalkeeper Jonty Freel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Henry Howarth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Berne Pinhey scored 0-3 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Larry Beer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 61 played minutes C. Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Marshal Awage. In the 62nd minute, Keefe Tencer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C. Zvezda's Jonty Freel didn't even have to move. A collision led to Cawdor getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Bob Hemsley hit a great ball. When Berne Pinhey came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the C. Zvezda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berne Pinhey couldn't finish the play. Henry Howarth struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Larry Beer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. Zvezda. In the 90th minute Lance Goucher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonty Freel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lance Goucher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cawdor's supporters rose to their feet, but Lance Goucher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonty Freel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dan Durbridge fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cawdor's protests and gave Dan Durbridge a yellow card for diving instead. Dan Durbridge kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Berne Pinhey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larry Beer having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. C. Zvezda had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
