Nick Turnor scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martin Chant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brendan Lingwoodock charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendan Lingwoodock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brendan Lingwoodock kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Nick Turnor spun around in front of the goal 19 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Portagabra's goal. Burns Ashwin struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jacob Ceney didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portagabra. 25 minutes into the match, Porter Mills had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Chant. Portagabra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Porter Mills was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Raleigh Rear was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Portagabra's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Brendan Lingwoodock kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Martin Chant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Turnor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Chant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nick Turnor in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Brendan Lingwoodock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Amos Sibbold fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Excelsior FC's protests and gave Amos Sibbold a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Portagabra booed when Excelsior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amos Sibbold didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doyle Hemsley in the 60th minute of play. Nick Turnor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Chant having to interfere. Excelsior FC's Jacob Ceney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doyle Hemsley in the 84th minute of play. Jacob Ceney came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Portagabra's Doyle Hemsley. But to his dismay, Doyle Hemsley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Porter Mills recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
