Spectators: 8071 (Terracing: 6055, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Anthony Tupman made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, Lance Goucher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edmund Podowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the game, Murphy Garing recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Larry Beer. Murphy Garing showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to Cawdor getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Bob Hemsley hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Murphy Garing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peipei United's supporters rose to their feet, but Murphy Garing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Larry Beer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Larry Beer managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Peipei United's Anthony Tupman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Larry Beer came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Peipei United's Anthony Tupman. But to his dismay, Anthony Tupman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The supporters of Peipei United booed when Cawdor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Hemsley didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Anthony Tupman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Larry Beer. That made the score 3-1 in the 21 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Murphy Garing managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peipei United's supporters rose to their feet, but Murphy Garing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Larry Beer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cawdor's zone, Murphy Garing stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Beer came out of the goal and Murphy Garing tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cawdor's Larry Beer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Tupman in the 31st minute of play. Murphy Garing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Larry Beer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Tupman in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Peipei United's Anthony Tupman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Larry Beer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lance Goucher to make the kick off. Edmund Podowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lance Goucher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Peipei United's goal looked a bit too open when Lance Goucher came free, but Edmund Podowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cawdor's zone, Anthony Tupman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Larry Beer came out of the goal and Anthony Tupman tried to chip the ball over his head. After 85 minutes of play, Peipei United's Anthony Tupman made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Larry Beer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute, Bob Hemsley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Anthony Tupman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
