Spectators: 5749 (Terracing: 4749, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antonia Shearn started the match with the kick off. Kris Markcrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bent Beale in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute Dugald Bowen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregg Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sunshine Coast FC's zone, Keefe Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregg Pearson came out of the goal and Keefe Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th minute, Dugald Bowen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gregg Pearson. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 19 minutes, Bob Yard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunshine Coast FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Yard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kris Markcrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bent Beale in the 21st minute of play. In the 21st minute, Bob Yard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregg Pearson was a little too slow when Dugald Bowen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 26th minute, Antonia Shearn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Fotas got a freekick which was hit by Keefe Brennan. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Dugald Bowen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fotas's supporters rose to their feet, but Dugald Bowen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gregg Pearson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sunshine Coast FC's Gregg Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Sunshine Coast FC from getting a goal against them. Gregg Pearson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dugald Bowen, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Dugald Bowen made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Dugald Bowen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After 59 played minutes Fotas got a freekick which was hit by Alex Palmington. 61 minutes into the game, Brook Obree was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fotas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sunshine Coast FC the free kick. Brook Obree hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Kevin Will had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bob Yard hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Kevin Will came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Fotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Will couldn't finish the play. Keefe Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Gregg Pearson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keefe Brennan struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gregg Pearson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fotas. Kris Markcrow was a little too slow when Bent Beale got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 3-1. Gregg Pearson came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Fotas's Dugald Bowen. But to his dismay, Dugald Bowen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When Keefe Brennan came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Fotas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keefe Brennan couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Fotas had played much better football throughout.
