Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Ernest Ashby started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Bock Peach got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Bo Bostock charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bo Bostock the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Gold Coast Ghosts FC got a freekick which was hit by Bo Bostock. Phillip Pegler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Duggan having to interfere. After 13 played minutes Gold Coast Ghosts FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrews Moorby. Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Cregan Duggan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Gold Coast Ghosts FC from getting a goal against them. Kyeemagh's Jarrod Stevenson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bock Peach in the 17th minute of play. The supporters of Gold Coast Ghosts FC booed when Kyeemagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cassidy Bonnison didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernest Ashby in the 19th minute of play forced Kyeemagh's goalkeeper Jarrod Stevenson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrod Stevenson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernest Ashby in the 20th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brad Sanderson got free with Cregan Duggan in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bock Peach in the 32nd minute of play forced Kyeemagh's goalkeeper Jarrod Stevenson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brad Sanderson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Duggan having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Gold Coast Ghosts FC got a freekick which was hit by Andrews Moorby. Gold Coast Ghosts FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Phillip Pegler scored to the left of an out of position Cregan Duggan, making the score, 1-0. In the 45th match minute, Kyeemagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffers Kreck to maneuver through the defense. Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Cregan Duggan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Gold Coast Ghosts FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phillip Pegler was the one to do the kick off. If Phillip Pegler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brad Sanderson took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cregan Duggan. Cregan Duggan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Kyeemagh's Jeffers Kreck got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeffers Kreck hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Phillip Pegler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cregan Duggan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cassidy Bonnison during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cassidy Bonnison kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Phillip Pegler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Cregan Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 minutes of play, Kyeemagh's Phillip Pegler made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cregan Duggan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Gold Coast Ghosts FC's zone, Brad Sanderson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cregan Duggan came out of the goal and Brad Sanderson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Kyeemagh defense, Bock Peach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarrod Stevenson. The Kyeemagh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarrod Stevenson should have stopped the shot. Kyeemagh's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
