Alvin Scalzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Cregan Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvin Scalzo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bock Peach in the 18th minute of play forced Notting's goalkeeper Samuel Tout to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Gold Coast Ghosts FC booed when Notting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Bromfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Gold Coast Ghosts FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Ernest Ashby hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ernest Ashby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gold Coast Ghosts FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernest Ashby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Tout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bock Peach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Samuel Tout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Bock Peach had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Tout. Notting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bock Peach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Ashby to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Alvin Scalzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cregan Duggan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Gold Coast Ghosts FC's goalkeeper Cregan Duggan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Samuel Tout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 65 played minutes Notting got a freekick which was hit by Brockman Gaffigan. Alvin Scalzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cregan Duggan having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrews Moorby kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samuel Tout. That made the score 0-3 in the 76 minute of play. If Ernest Ashby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Gold Coast Ghosts FC's zone, Dan Bromfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cregan Duggan came out of the goal and Dan Bromfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bradshaw Cudmore kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Notting defense, Ernest Ashby kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samuel Tout. The Notting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samuel Tout should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Gold Coast Ghosts FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Bradshaw Cudmore hit a great ball. The supporters of Gold Coast Ghosts FC booed when Notting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Scalzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bock Peachs short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Samuel Tout to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chants of Gold Coast Ghosts FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Notting had held the ball for most of the match.
