Emilian Stârcea made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Amos Moran sent off a good shot on target. Cullen Nunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Emilian Stârcea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Nichol Coleman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Cullen Nunn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rowville's supporters rose to their feet, but Cullen Nunn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilian Stârcea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgar Addison hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Melbourne City 2030 were furious when Buchanan Hands was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Melbourne City 2030 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 13th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Rowville's Christian Rutledge got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Emilian Stârcea. If Cullen Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amos Moran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Emilian Stârcea made a huge save. Jonty White kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Amos Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rowville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amos Moran was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilian Stârcea came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Rowville's Amos Moran. But to his dismay, Amos Moran quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Jonty White sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes, Rowville's Belton Mckay shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emilian Stârcea came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rowville reached it. Corey Maddern took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nichol Coleman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Melbourne City 2030's Nichol Coleman got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Connor Butterfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Emilian Stârcea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Moran in the 65th minute of play forced Melbourne City 2030's goalkeeper Emilian Stârcea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Belton Mckay shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emilian Stârcea showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emilian Stârcea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amos Moran went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Melbourne City 2030 booed when Rowville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drew Travers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl Muncaster hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute Amos Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilian Stârcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emilian Stârcea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cullen Nunn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rowville's zone, Jonty White stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corey Maddern came out of the goal and Jonty White tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Randle Wittber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Rowville booed when Melbourne City 2030 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neale Foley didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Rowville were victorious despite being under pressure from Melbourne City 2030 for much of the match.
