Conner Atterton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gold Coast Ghosts FC's goalkeeper Cregan Duggan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conner Atterton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernest Ashby's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. Ernest Ashby let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 48th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Ashby to strike the kick off in the second half. Conner Atterton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bock Peach, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Dani Limmer sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Panthers's Conner Atterton didn't even have to move. Bock Peach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conner Atterton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Cregan Duggan was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Justin Mosley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Justin Mosley really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 86 minutes into the match, Panthers's goal looked a bit too open when Bock Peach came free, but Conner Atterton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Panthers booed when Gold Coast Ghosts FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Bostock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Panthers's Conner Atterton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Ashby in the 95th minute of play. In the 99th minute Bock Peach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conner Atterton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
