Bo Norman might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corey Maddern. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bo Norman ran back to his position shaking his head. If Bo Norman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Amos Moran came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Rowville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amos Moran couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cullen Nunn in the 16th minute of play forced Winterbourne's goalkeeper Charles Fordham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedict Addison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corey Maddern read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Andrews Boneheyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo Normans short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Corey Maddern to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Cullen Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Kevin Notley from long distance, 37 minutes into the match, got Corey Maddern's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 40 played minutes Rowville got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Addison. Bo Norman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Corey Maddern tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedict Addison struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Corey Maddern didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winterbourne. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Christian Rutledge shot from long distance in the 57th minute, but Charles Fordham was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 64th minute of the match, Amos Moran got a very nice opportunity to score, but Charles Fordham was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 69th minute, Amos Moran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Charles Fordham managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Rowville's Amos Moran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Winterbourne's Kevin Notley got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Randle Wittber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 minutes, Benny Gummow mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Winterbourne and the Rowville players grew even worse after the yellow card. Charles Fordham was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Angus Wayland. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Amos Moran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rowville's supporters rose to their feet, but Amos Moran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Fordham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 97th minute, Connor Butterfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the game's 98th minute Winterbourne's Andrews Boneheyo took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Corey Maddern and thus the score was 1-0. Winterbourne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
