Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Samuel Locke started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the match, Notting's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Serena came free, but Samuel Tout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Notting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvin Scalzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Tout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Serena, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Jamie Carlisle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Tout. Notting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jamie Carlisle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Raymond Serena took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Tout. Samuel Tout dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alvin Scalzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alvin Scalzo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Berry Huther saved Sydney FC from getting behind. Samuel Tout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Serena in the 22nd minute of the match. Notting's Samuel Tout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Locke in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Samuel Locke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Tout saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Samuel Locke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Samuel Tout. Notting's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samuel Locke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 44th minute, Dan Bromfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Raymond Serena's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Tout was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Samuel Tout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Locke in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Sydney FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Samuel Tout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Samuel Locke struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Samuel Tout didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sydney FC. If Samuel Locke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raymond Serena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Samuel Tout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
