In the 10th minute Abbott Huff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cregan Duggan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Abbott Huff's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cregan Duggan was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Abbott Huff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Coldicutt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernest Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jonathan Coldicutt came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Bradshaw Cudmore. But to his dismay, Bradshaw Cudmore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bock Peach got free with Jonathan Coldicutt in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bock Peach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Coldicutt having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernest Ashby in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Coldicutt saved Myrtou FC from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abbott Huff in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cregan Duggan saved Gold Coast Ghosts FC from getting behind. In the 41st minute Ernest Ashby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Coldicutt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gold Coast Ghosts FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nicholas Dorrell hit a great ball. In the 48th minute, Abbott Huff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernest Ashby to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bock Peach came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Gold Coast Ghosts FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bock Peach couldn't finish the play. Andrews Moorby hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Benjamin Munster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cregan Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradshaw Cudmore's late challenge caught a Myrtou FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradshaw Cudmore helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 62 minutes, Benjamin Munster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Myrtou FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Munster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute of the match Abe Brading shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cregan Duggan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bock Peach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Coldicutt having to interfere. Hank Toth kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jonathan Coldicutt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bock Peach in the 74th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the game, Gold Coast Ghosts FC's Bock Peach nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Coldicutt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gold Coast Ghosts FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Abbott Huff scored to the left of an out of position Cregan Duggan, making the score, 2-1. Cregan Duggan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abbott Huff's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. If Benjamin Munster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Myrtou FC's Abbott Huff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cregan Duggan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernest Ashby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Myrtou FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
