In the 12th minute there was a penalty for HC Kings. Kyle Allcock stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Groves. 0-1. Bernard Babbage recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Groves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuck Oconnell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wietalaba's Jonathan Groves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chuck Oconnell in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by HC Kings's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rudy Limmer was slow to take the kick. During this time Wietalaba's players had a chance to rest. Rudy Limmer made a great header on Wietalaba's corner, it was just that HC Kings's Kale Wilde managed to reach the ball for a save. Jonathan Groves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuck Oconnell in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Brockman Stevenson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wietalaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Brockman Stevenson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kale Wilde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bernard Babbage came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Wietalaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernard Babbage couldn't finish the play. Bernard Babbage in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kale Wilde, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 44th minute, Dane Day hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chuck Oconnell to make the kick off. HC Kings's Kale Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Babbage in the 55th minute of play. With a little luck, Wietalaba's Jonathan Groves got control of the ball when Jenkins Busst tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute Bernard Babbage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kale Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Jonathan Groves managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when HC Kings's Jenkins Busst fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 65thth minute of the game Bernard Babbage who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but HC Kings's Kale Wilde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 67th minute Bernard Babbage shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kale Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernard Babbage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carmichael Cooney fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wietalaba's protests and gave Carmichael Cooney a yellow card for diving instead. Kale Wilde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brockman Stevenson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Bernard Babbage left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wietalaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Bernard Babbage struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Kale Wilde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wietalaba. If Bernard Babbage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Brockman Stevenson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kale Wilde was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 94th minute, Bernard Babbage ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kale Wilde was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Bernard Babbage fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kale Wilde having to interfere. There was no doubt that Wietalaba were the better team. Wietalaba's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
