The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pensioners 2.0. After 23 played minutes Wietalaba got a freekick which was hit by Carmichael Cooney. Jonathan Groves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darley Woods in the 26th minute of play. Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Limmer in the 30th minute of play. A hard shot 34 in the game by Bernard Babbage from a close distance when the talented Davey Curtis managed to make a qualified save. Pensioners 2.0's players were relieved. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rudy Limmer made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Mack Giddey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pensioners 2.0's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wietalaba the free kick. After 52 played minutes Pensioners 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Mack Giddey. Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Babbage in the 53rd minute of play. Jonathan Groves acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mack Giddey. 63 minutes into the game, Wietalaba's Bernard Babbage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Davey Curtis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Jonathan Groves made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Darley Woods sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Jonathan Groves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Berry Pickhills kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brockman Stevenson in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davey Curtis saved Pensioners 2.0 from getting behind. The supporters of Pensioners 2.0 booed when Wietalaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Gray didn't get a good kick on the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wietalaba fully deserved thier win.
