The audience thought a goal was coming when Darley Woods got free with Jonty Locke in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stew Pearson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davey Curtis saved Pensioners 2.0 from getting behind. Jonty Locke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Fitzsimmons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 played minutes Pensioners 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Berry Pickhills. When Oceania Ghost Dusters FC's Roy Tevelien in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pensioners 2.0's goalie prevented a goal. Pensioners 2.0's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
