Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chuck Oconnell in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nichol Heys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 18 played minutes Pinnaroo got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Trevena. A collision led to Pinnaroo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Mark Renney hit a great ball. If Chuck Oconnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mark Renney took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kale Wilde. Kale Wilde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dean Dale hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Mark Renney fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kale Wilde having to interfere. Kale Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Huther in the 41st minute of play. When Dean Alcock was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 41 minutes had been played. Pinnaroo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan Huther was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kale Wilde made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Nathan Huther sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pinnaroo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
