Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isidro Delfino kicked off to start the match. In the 11th minute, Dallas Blackham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodney Hoey's late challenge caught a Kahibah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodney Hoey helped the player get up and apologised. After 12 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Hoey. In the 14th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dallas Blackham to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kahibah's goalkeeper Kay Possov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kirby Coleman succeeded in the game's 19th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. If Isidro Delfino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Independiente's Kirby Coleman in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kahibah's goalie prevented a goal. 1-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Isidro Delfino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Handley Royans couldn't finish the play. If Isidro Delfino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kirby Coleman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Kay Possov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Ronald Mckay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nathan Mcneven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Handley Royans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kay Possov was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Kahibah's Isidro Delfino got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kirby Coleman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kay Possov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Handley Royans in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kirby Coleman in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kay Possov saved Kahibah from getting behind. Kahibah's Kay Possov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kirby Coleman in the 56th minute of play. If Kirby Coleman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Handley Royans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Kay Possov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Handley Royans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kay Possov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Handley Royans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the game, Duke Whelpton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kahibah the free kick. Duke Whelpton hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Kirby Coleman rounded Kahibah's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Handley Royans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kay Possov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Kirby Coleman fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Independiente supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Independiente would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
