Brett Wright's late challenge caught a Lucaston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brett Wright helped the player get up and apologised. Brett Wright hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Landervale's Richard Connolly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Anderson in the 7th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Quinnell during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sam Quinnell hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Richard Connolly took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brant Anderson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brant Anderson in the 18th minute of play forced Landervale's goalkeeper Richard Connolly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tobie Lyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Brant Anderson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lucaston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brant Anderson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brant Anderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Richard Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Brett Wright notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lucaston's Bryden Hitchen. Bryden Hitchen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Landervale's Brett Wright slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bryden Hitchen. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brett Wright in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryden Hitchen saved Lucaston from getting behind. Brant Anderson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Richard Connolly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Landervale's Brown Soekirno made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bryden Hitchen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brant Anderson was the one to do the kick off. The Lucaston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryden Hitchen should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brown Soekirno in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryden Hitchen saved Lucaston from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Wright in the 61st minute of play forced Lucaston's goalkeeper Bryden Hitchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sam Quinnell scored 6-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bryden Hitchen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brown Soekirno in the 67th minute of play forced Lucaston's goalkeeper Bryden Hitchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Connolly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brant Anderson in the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Brett Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryden Hitchen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
