The wind increased when Handley Royans made the kick off in the second half. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Kurth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Handley Royans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Handley Royans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Birrell Cootes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ed Mcwilliam in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Devere prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conner Price hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
