Spectators: 8618 (Terracing: 6464, Seating: 1982, VIP seats: 172) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carmichael Heath got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Castlecrag getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Baxter Garing hit a great ball. In the 7th minute, Max Gissane reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Downing Millard. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 12th minute Bradshaw Allan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Furkan Sweet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradshaw Allan in the 16th minute of play forced Duffield United's goalkeeper Furkan Sweet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Duffield United got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Renshaw. The audience was convinced that Carmichael Heath's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Furkan Sweet was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 19thth minute of the game Max Gissane who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castlecrag's Downing Millard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Max Gissane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Downing Millard having to interfere. When Carmichael Heath came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Castlecrag fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carmichael Heath couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Bradshaw Allan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castlecrag's supporters rose to their feet, but Bradshaw Allan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Furkan Sweet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Max Gissane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Downing Millard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Castlecrag's goalkeeper Downing Millard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Olejasz. Castlecrag's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Max Gissane scored to the left of an out of position Downing Millard, making the score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Max Gissane made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradshaw Allan got free with Furkan Sweet in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Carmichael Heath kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Furkan Sweet. That made the score 2-1 in the 57 minute of play. Downing Millard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfred Olejasz's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Hal Schonke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Downing Millard. Castlecrag's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hal Schonke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. 72 minutes into the game, Alfred Olejasz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Duffield United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castlecrag the free kick. A collision led to Duffield United getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Alfred Olejasz hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Carmichael Heath took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Furkan Sweet to make any attempt to save it. Bradshaw Allan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bradshaw Allan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Furkan Sweet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Max Gissane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Downing Millard having to interfere. Furkan Sweet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmichael Heath, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Castlecrag's Bradshaw Allan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Furkan Sweet. That made the score 4-3 after 91 minutes of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castlecrag players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Duffield United.
