The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Grzegorz Parajewski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lorimer Gissane, 1-0. Grzegorz Parajewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Lorimer Gissane made a huge save. When Russ Mcmahon came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Cabana Motel FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russ Mcmahon couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Grzegorz Parajewski to make the kick off. Lorimer Gissane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grzegorz Parajewski in the 53rd minute of play. Grzegorz Parajewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antony Schonke struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Wit Raszek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caringbah. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cabana Motel FC had won after a very even match.
